Rescued Pit Bull named Hurley, now CGC certified
Pit Bulls are a very loyal, loving and intelligent breed and can be amazingly wonderful family pets.  Just like any dog, Pit Bulls can be strong, both physically and mindfully, which requires proper training on our part.  Given the appropriate obedience training, socialization with humans and other dogs, spaying/neutering, this breed is one of the most beautiful creatures.  The public desperately needs to be educated about this misunderstood breed that gets a bad rap due to the media misconceptions.

Peace for Pit Bulls is a Los Angeles community dedicated to raising positive public awareness for the American Pit Bull Terrier & Bully breed dogs.  With so much controversy surrounding the Pit Bull and Bully breeds today, our goal is to help be a part of the solution.

Pit Bulls have been exploited for being vicious, aggressive, dog fighting animals and have a bad reputation all due to poor ownership. Pit Bulls are not natural born killers, far from it.  They are abused and taught to fight, owners train them to attack and kill.  It's sick and twisted and the owners that exploit this loving breed deserve to be exploited, held responsible, and prosecuted for their illegal and inhumane actions.  Giving a voice to the voiceless and demanding justice is the least we can do to help this amazing canine breed.

Our goal and desire as Los Angeles Responsible Pit Bull Owners, is to show the true beauty of the breed give them the peace they deserve.  To save the lives by rescuing and rehabilitating the abused and abandoned that are dropped off at shelters everyday across the United States.  By working together to build a Pit Bull-friendly community, we can help provide assistance to other pit bull owners with free or low-cost Spay/Neuter and Vaccinations clinics, specialized trainers, healthy pet food stores/supplies, places to adopt, Pit Bull/Bully breed education, proper use of equipment, classes, Meetup groups and more!
